Caffeine is a weak bronchodilator and
it also reduces respiratory muscle fatigue. Ginger has been
proven to unplug blockage of bronchial tubes and nasal passages.
This beverage is thus an excellent natural remedy for occasional,
light asthma attacks brought on by colds or allergies (in
the case of severe asthma, use your regular medication or
consult your doctor).
2 tablespoons ground coffee beans
1/2 cup soy milk
1-2 inches fresh ginger root
Grind ginger root. Mix soy milk and ground
ginger. Froth milk if so desired. Place enough water to
make 2 cups in the coffeemaker, more if desired. Add 1-2
tablespoons of milk to each cup. Drink at the first sign
of wheezing.
